Why should you join folks?  Annual membership contributions enables FOLKS to continue improvement initiatives impacting Lake Kegonsa.  The membership year runs from January 1st through December 31st of each year. Click for FOLKS brochure. All memberships include FOLKS Newsletters and Lake Alerts e-mailed to up to 2 addresses.  

 

Who can join FOLKS?  You can. Membership is $20 per household or $30 for business membership ($10.00 extra if you would like the newsletters mailed to you in addition to emailed to you).  Members receive four newsletters a year and are kept up to date with email on important lake-related issues.  We ask for email addresses for newsletters and alerts, but we NEVER share or sell addresses.  If you would like to include an additional donation enter that amount on the bottom of the membership selection page.

 

What do FOLKS members do?  Your involvement can range from simply being an informed and supportive member to attending meetings and special events, joining one or more of our Committees, or becoming involved in a FOLKS project. There are many ways to become involved with FOLKS based on your personal interests, talents, and available time. In the past, our most popular events have been the Annual Meeting and Spring Social and educational presentations related to proposed regulations (piers and water levels for example). 

 

Email Address.  When you join FOLKS we ask for your e-mail address. Emails are sent to those with email addresses to keep members informed of important time sensitive issues and social, educational and volunteer actives.  It’s important to note that email addresses are used to send FOLKS quarterly newsletters, all lake alerts, surveys and information on social, educational and volunteer activities.

 

All memberships include FOLKS Newsletter and Lake Alerts e-mailed up to 2 addresses.  If you also selected Newsletter mailed then you will also receive each of the FOLKS Newsletter mailed to your mailing address.

Online Payment:  when you click on the Signup with Online Payment button you will taken to the Zeffy website which processes payments for nonprofits with Zero fees (100% of your membership fee and all FOLKS donations go directly to FOLKS).  NOTE - at the end of the checkout process you will be asked to donate to Zeffy to help support their website - you may set that amount to zero by clicking other amount and entering 0 (a Zeffy donation is not required to join FOLKS).   Payments can be made by debit card, credit card, PayPal, ACH (electronic check processing), Google Pay and Apple Pay.
